OUR HISTORY

After serving for more than 10 years as Director General of the Panamanian Ships Registry and Representative of Panama before international maritime bodies, and having dealt with the growing needs for maritime expertise and specialized services in a country with a large and highly important involvement in the Maritime industry our Chairman envisaged to participate and contribute with the sector by establishing an international network of surveyors able to provide technical services and opening at the same time, a local employment source for nationals. Focusing on these objectives all necessary.


arrangements were made for PANAMA MARITIME DOCUMENTATION SERVICES to begin its operations as a Recognized Organization (RO).

Business developments also brought an increasing demand for legal advice and assistance which was the basis for the settlement of the la Law firm TORRIJOS & ASOCIADOS to take care of the legal concerns of a growing portfolio of clients placing their vessel under our coverage.


On the other hand, international implementation of new regulation not only for the vessels but also for the people working onboard them generated our awareness on the relevance to offering specialized training services and other activities relating to the seafarers which, in consequence resulted into the establishment of MARINE TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION CENTER as an educational entity for seamen which has been duly recognized by the authorities.
